Trustee TreasurerHyderabad based NGO Bhagwan Mahavir Jain Relief Foundation Trust (Registered under societies act), founded by sixteen like-minded Jain friends in 2009, has supported more than 6,00,000 dialysis sessions at an affordable cost of ₹200 per dialysis. The initiative not only brings smiles and improves the quality of life of patients but also saves families from the debt burden caused by chronic kidney failure.
The Trust began with dialysis support for five patients at a private hospital in July 2009. Since then, it has expanded significantly. With four of its own centers and four associated hospitals, the Trust provides subsidized dialysis to more than 980 patients across the twin cities with a total of 150 dialysis machines.
In recognition of their service, the Government of Andhra Pradesh allotted 5,000 sq. ft. at District Hospital, King Kothi, to set up a state-of-the-art Dialysis Centre with 24 machines. In 2016, an additional 2,500 sq. ft. was granted, enabling the addition of 14 machines, totaling 38.
Following the success of the King Kothi project, the Trust established a 27-machine center at Mahavir Hospital, AC Guards, which now operates at full capacity. In collaboration with Ramdev Rao Hospital, a 24-machine facility was also set up in response to patient needs.
In a landmark initiative, the Trust established a dedicated center for CKD patients with HIV & HBV at Mahavir Hospital. This center offers dialysis for ₹200 per session using single-use consumables for maximum safety, at no extra cost to the patient.
A unique partnership with Rotary Club of Hyderabad Deccan and Gurunanak Medical Center resulted in a 12-machine dialysis center at Gurudwara, Secunderabad. Additionally, a new facility with 12 machines was added at Kukatpally on 23rd Oct 2017.
Another 24 machines were added at Mahavir Hospital, AC Guards, in January 2018 and inaugurated by Honorable Governor E. S. L. Narasimhan. The newest dialysis center with 5 machines is being opened at ZOI Hospital, Attapur (Pillar No. 147).
In more than nine years of service, the Trust has supported over 7,500 patients with dialysis and injection support, without denying help to any patient. Donations to the Trust are exempt under Section 80G of Indian income tax laws.
