Hyderabad based NGO Bhagwan Mahavir Jain Relief Foundation Trust (Registered under Societies Act), founded by sixteen likeminded Jain friends in 2009, has so far supported with more than 600,000 Dialysis at an affordable cost of Rs 200 per Dialysis. It has brought smiles not just on the face of the patients and improved quality of life but has also saved families from debt-burdened life after the loss of a family member suffering from Chronic Kidney Failure.

The Trust started dialysis support in a small way to five patients with 16 Dialysis sessions at a private hospital in July 2009. Since then, there has been no looking back. Today, the Trust with four of its own centers and four associated hospitals provides highly subsidized dialysis services to more than 980 patients in the twin cities with 150 Dialysis machines.

Recognizing the good work being done by the Trust, the Department of Medical, Health & Family Welfare, Government of Andhra Pradesh, offered 5000 sq ft built-up space in District Hospital King Kothi to set up a state-of-the-art Dialysis Centre with 24 machines, vide G.O.Rt.No.1691, HM & FW (M) Dept., Dated 13-12-2010, as a model project of partnership between the Government and this not-for-profit organization. In 2016, the Government considered our request and allotted an additional 2500 sq ft on the same floor. We added 14 new dialysis machines to make it a 38-machine center, set up with financial support from philanthropists.

Following successful implementation of the King Kothi project and full capacity utilization, the Trust set up another large center with 27 machines at Mahavir Hospital, AC Guards. This center operates in four shifts and runs at optimum capacity.

Considering the need and request from many patients to reduce travel time for treatment, we approached the management of Ramdev Rao Hospital—another philanthropic charitable organization—to join hands in setting up a dialysis center. In no time, the center was established with 12 machines. Within a year, due to patient demand, the facility was expanded and shifted to a larger area with 12 more machines, making it a 24-machine center.

Treating CKD patients suffering from HIV & HBV is delicate—not only for patients but also for the treating staff. We decided to set up a novel and one-of-its-kind center with 8 machines to treat such patients at Rs 200 per dialysis at a special ward in Mahavir Hospital. All consumables are discarded after one use, without extra burden on the patients, and utmost care is taken.

In a unique partnership with the Rotary Club of Hyderabad Deccan, Rotary International, and Gurunanak Medical Center at Secunderabad, our Trust set up a dialysis center at Gurudwara Secunderabad with 12 machines.

In addition, we added 12 machines on 23rd October 2017 at our Kukatpally center to meet growing demand in the area.

We added another 24 machines at our center at Mahavir Hospital, AC Guards in January 2018, inaugurated by the Honorable Governor of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, E.S.L. Narasimhan.

We are pleased to announce the opening of a new Dialysis Centre for patient convenience at ZOI Hospital, Pillar Number 147, Attapur with 5 Dialysis Machines.

We aim to spread our wings across twin cities to ensure patient convenience and access.

In our journey of over nine years, we have supported more than 7,500 patients with dialysis and injection support and proudly hold a track record of not denying support to any patient.

The Trust is registered under Societies Act, and donations made to the Trust are exempt under Section 80G of Indian Income Tax laws.
